Nancy Nevils is a partner at Stoneman, Chandler & Miller LLP, specializing in the field of education law, including special education, student discipline, and all other school-related matters.
Ms. Nevils is a cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School where she was both an author and editor for the Transnational Law Journal. She also holds a B.A. in Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University. Prior to joining Stoneman, Chandler & Miller LLP, Ms. Nevils was a law clerk to the administrative law judges of the United States Department of Labor in Boston.
Ms. Nevils writes legal commentaries from the public school perspective regarding Bureau of Special Education decisions and rulings that the Massachusetts Special Education Reporter publishes quarterly. Ms. Nevils also has presented seminars for Lorman Education Services, the Massachusetts Administrators for Special Education, Suffolk University Law School Juvenile Justice Center, Medical Educational Services, Inc., and public schools. The topics covered in these seminars have included special education laws, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and student discipline.
