Katie Meinelt is an associate with Stoneman, Chandler & Miller LLP specializing in the field of education law, including special education, student discipline, and all other school-related matters.
Ms. Meinelt holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in English Literature from University of New Hampshire. She earned her law degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, MA. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and is admitted to practice law in both state and federal court. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Meinelt served as a school teacher in Virginia.
Ms. Meinelt is an active member of the Boston Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association where she serves on the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers Division. She was named Chairperson of the Anti-Bullying Campaign and was featured in the Massachusetts Lawyers Journal where she wrote an article titled: The Schoolyard Lawyer: Reflections on the Massachusetts Anti-Bullying Law.
Prior to joining Stoneman, Chandler & Miller, Ms. Meinelt represented students and their families in all different education matters at a law firm in Wellesley. Her experience on the parent-side combined with her teaching background provides a unique perspective when representing school districts in education matters.
