John Simon is a Partner at Stoneman, Chandler & Miller, LLP. His practice focuses on the representation of management in all matters related to employment and labor law. Mr. Simon regularly defends employers in employment and labor-related litigation and advises employers on litigation avoidance. He also represents municipalities and school committees in employment and labor related matters. Mr. Simon has handled the pre-trial litigation, trials and appeals of numerous cases in Massachusetts and Federal court.
Mr. Simon is a member of the Massachusetts, Connecticut and District of Columbia bars, as well as the bars of the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the First and Second Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Massachusetts and Connecticut. He is also a member of both the Massachusetts and American Bar Associations.
Mr. Simon received his law degree from The George Washington University, where he served as a member of The George Washington Law Review. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and International Relations from Brown University.
Before joining Stoneman, Chandler & Miller, LLP in 1999, Mr. Simon practiced with the labor and employment law firm of Siegel, O’Connor, Schiff & Zangari in New Haven, Connecticut, which limits its representation to management. Prior to that, Mr. Simon worked for the firm of Jacobs, Jacobs & Farber in Rockville, Maryland, which represented both employers and employees in employment-related matters.
